• -Deepak Babu  -  Rank 1 – (Aerospace Batch 2009-13) "It is a prestigious moment for me to write about my department. In the beginning I’ve always worried being the first batch of our department. But now I realise, choosing  Aerospace Engineering at Karunya University was the best decision I have ever made. It was purely a new experience for me. The life at Karunya was pleasant and conducive. And the campus offered unique and comfortable atmosphere that provided good interaction between the faculties and the students.
Placement assistance provided, gave me wide oppurtunities to choose a good career. Department offered industrial visits and chances for inplant trainings so as to obtain a good industrial experience and to get familiarised with actual work environment. The faculties in the department are well experienced with so much of industrial exposure. They provided support and guidance in organising events at University and National Levels. The department is well equipped with Aerodynamics, Structures and Propulsion labs that are hardly available in other universities. The Central library and the department libraries have large number of books that are subject specific and are available at any time of the day. The practical experience received in the lab trainings provided various choices to work on during technical events and project works.
The Spiritual Environment here is unique and that one can’t enjoy anywhere else. It has helped me a lot to grow in my spiritual life especially the department prayers and fellowships (ACE – A Christian Engineer)."
  • "It is a prestigious moment for me to write about my department. I truly cherish the four years I spent at Karunya University. This college was a home away from home.

I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive when I joined, as I was in the second batch of Aerospace Engineering of the college. But very soon my fears were laid to rest. All the labs were well equipped and the course was designed keeping in mind various new developments in the field. The staffs were highly experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable at all times and they were ever willing to go the extra mile for us. Besides academics, the emphasis of the University on developing students of strong moral values and with a social concern is truly commendable. This helped me to graduate as a well-rounded person on the whole. I truly am indebted to everyone at Karunya for me the person that I am today. ”

  • "I feel extremely delighted to jot down my views about the Aerospace department as I step out of this awesome place after spending a short span of 4 years. I consider it as a God given opportunity to earn my Bachelor’s degree from this young and well-established department. I can confidently swear that every day in the campus was a new learning experience, enabling me to gain vital inputs through the lectures and laboratory classes of our experience faculty members. Certainly, Karunya has provided me a strong technical foundation with spiritual and ethical values so that I can stand firm in this competitive world. I remember entering this department as a timid and clueless girl but today I am happy that I could step out with aM.Tech admission at Madras Institute of technology obtained through merit based on my GATE score.
I will remain thankful to my Faculty and staff who were patient enough to teach me, guide me and motivate me. I also appreciate and thank the management for setting up state-of-the-art lab facilities, well-furnished library and a peaceful and homely residence that made my stay in the campus a memorable and productive one.
I wish that the department of Aerospace Engineering soars to greater heights fulfilling its mission in developing Engineers for the future. "

  • It is my joy and pleasure to share few of my experiences and the values I had imbibed from this great university. Before I begin, I thank God Almighty, for enabling me to do much more than I dreamt, and helped me to come out as a bright student of Aerospace department. God was faithful enough to give me a CGPA of 9.16 and an on-campus placement in Infosys. He opened up a job opportunity in my core area in Team Indus- Axiom Research Labs. Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, where I started working even before my graduation. “One in a million, we are God’s choice”, a familiar line, which reminds me why I landed up in Karunya University, even though I never planned it before. In the last four years, I have been transformed from a kiddish school girl to a mature, responsible and young professional. For this, I owe a great deal to God, parents, staff and friends. I take this moment to gladly remember their help, moral support and the knowledge they imparted to me. To mention some, I have come across staff who were really encouraging, who were ready to clear even the silliest doubt and finally staff who tried to impart knowledge as well as moral values. I am thankful to my professor and project guide who directed me to the company where I am working now. I am proud that the excellent teaching and the infrastructure provided by the department are certainly on par with any of the top colleges of India. And talking about friends, there were a few who were a support when I was startled in this new system and surrounding, friends who encouraged, friends who sneered at me to mould me as a better person and friends to whom I could share everything. Staying in Karunya was fun with birthday parties, hanging out, Industrial Visits and much more. And surely I will miss the morning assembly and prayer cells which used to be an encouragement for the whole day. To be frank, I enjoyed the response or the excitement of my relatives and friends, when they came to know that I am placed I a core company after my B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering. The joy of explaining to them about the various facts of this fascinating Engineering is great. I am proud, when they compare me with the great astronauts of all times. Those sleepless nights before the submission of assignments, tensed days before the exams, long wait for the placements are worth it now. In short, as a proud Karunyan, I will cherish these all these movements throughout my life. MayGod bless my juniors abundantly.

  • 2Corinthians  12:9 -And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness."

The weaker the instrument, the more the power of His grace. One would never know that grace if one wouldn't have the exigencies that call for it. According to the above mentioned promise verse, God did not remove my weaknesses, but He increased His grace so that I could endure it. It was my first experience of being away from home with which came anxiety and apprehensiveness. But God had the best plans for me. The journey went on , one miracle after another, starting from admissions till placements. Looking back at my school days, where I was known to be an introvert, today, God has used me mightily to lead prayers in prayer cells. The faculties were always there to support and encourage me. My talents which always remained hidden till I completed my schooling, were extracted right here in Karunya. Music, art , dance and much more, in such unimaginable ways. Managing academics along with the co-curricular activities is not an easy task. 'Never give up'.... These words would keep ringing in my ears. God was faithful enough to give me a CGPA of 9.3 and SGPA 10. At the right time He graciously enabled me to get placed in Tech Mahindra. Not only that, I got admission in Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Israel to pursue my MS in Aerospace Engineering with full scholarship for two years.

Ups and downs , problems and confusions are part of life but God graciously helped me in all my tough times, making me meet such wonderful people and using me as an instrument in making a difference in the lives of people. He moulded me into a strong human being. All praise and glory to God.
